🔎 Fight the Fight (FTF) — Official Disclosures & Member Notices
Welcome to Fight the Fight (FTF), a nonprofit combat sports league committed to fighter safety, peer-supported growth, and redefining performance-based earning in the fight world. Transparency is a core value of FTF. Please review the following disclosures carefully before becoming a member, participating in an event, or engaging as a fighter.
⚖️ 1. Amateur Status Disclosure
By participating in FTF events, all competitors acknowledge that they may sacrifice amateur eligibility under certain jurisdictions, including (but not limited to) USA Boxing and Olympic sanctioning bodies. This means:
- You may not be eligible to compete in future amateur events.
- Your classification may be considered "professional" due to participation in performance-based bonus events or FTF’s internal ranking/payout systems.
- This decision is final and non-reversible by FTF, though individual sanctioning bodies may have appeal procedures outside our organization.
💵 2. Bonus Payout Timeline & Lending Acknowledgment
FTF operates on a community-sourced model. All fighters eligible for bonuses agree to the following payout structure:
- 20%–40% of earned bonuses will be paid within 7 days post-event, after panel review and judgment finalization.
- The remaining 60%–80% will be paid within 30 to 120 days, depending on cash flow, event revenue, and member-based scaling.
- Fighters agree that bonus shortfalls, if any, shall be treated as a temporary lending arrangement to FTF (UCHC), with repayment sourced from future event revenues (tickets, food, merch, etc.).
- No interest shall be paid on deferred bonus amounts, and no bonuses are guaranteed unless earned and reviewed by the FTF Judging Panel.
🧾 3. Fighter Dues Refund Policy (Medical Barriers)
All fighter dues are partially refundable in the case of medical disqualification prior to event participation due to state-mandated screening failures (EKG, MRI, etc.). If you are disqualified by a licensed medical professional based on ISAC or other jurisdictional standards:
- You will be refunded all but $50/month of dues paid.
- Refunds will be issued within 30 days of official confirmation and may require verification of test denial from a licensed physician.
🥼 4. Medical Testing & Licensing Requirements
Fighters must undergo all mandatory pre-fight screenings, including:
- Annual physical examination
- Bloodwork (HIV, Hep B/C)
- EKG (for fighters 35+)
- MRI or CT Scan (typically required 40+ or at physician’s discretion)
All medical testing is the responsibility of the fighter. FTF does not pay for testing or coordinate with insurance carriers. Failure to complete testing disqualifies participation.
🧾 5. Right of First Refusal – Tickets & Access
FTF follows a unique access structure for live events:
- Fighters receive first right of refusal on all event tickets.
- Non-Fighter Members (NFMs) receive second-tier access.
- Remaining tickets are made available to the general public.
This structure prioritizes community members and participating athletes over general attendees.
📃 6. Event Participation is Voluntary
Participation in all FTF events is strictly voluntary. All fighters:
- Must be 18+ and legally capable of entering binding agreements.
- Will sign waivers acknowledging the risk of injury, including but not limited to head trauma, lacerations, orthopedic damage, and permanent disability.
- Must follow FTF rules, venue policies, and referee directions at all times.
💸 7. Fighter Memberships and “Pick Your Price” Program
FTF’s “Pick Your Price, Pick Your Payout” fighter membership system allows fighters to choose their membership tier and associated bonus eligibility. Fighters understand that:
- Higher dues correspond to access to larger bonus tiers.
- Downgrading or canceling a membership tier may limit bonus eligibility.
- Bonuses are performance-based and not guaranteed.
👥 8. Non-Fighter Member (NFM) Program Disclosures
NFMs contribute monthly dues in exchange for ticket credits, event discounts, and raffle entries. Disclosures include:
- Benefits are non-transferable except where explicitly allowed (one guest per event).
- Ticket credit and food/alcohol discounts are subject to availability and event capacity.
- All NFM dues are non-refundable, even if the member cannot attend an event.
🎥 9. Image & Likeness Use
All fighters and participants agree that:
- Their image, name, voice, and likeness may be recorded, used, and published by FTF and its partners in promotional content, including video, photos, digital media, and social campaigns.
- No compensation will be paid for such usage unless otherwise agreed in writing.
📈 10. Ranking & Bonus Evaluation Panel
All fight bonuses and rankings are determined by a qualified panel based on:
- Performance-based criteria (e.g., combinations, movement, coaching response, etc.)
- Peer review and crowd engagement
- Referee observations
The decision of the panel is final and not appealable. Fighters are judged against clearly defined metrics where available, and general category definitions are available on request.
🛡️ 11. Health & Safety Commitment
FTF prioritizes fighter health, recovery, and readiness over win/loss outcomes. All matchups are:
- Made based on skill proximity, fitness level, and safety.
- Regularly reviewed by safety officials and the ISAC when applicable.
- Held to strict hydration, medical, and ethical standards.
📜 12. Trademarked Content Use
Many FTF event names, bonuses, phrases, and taglines are protected by state or federal trademark. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property for other events, leagues, or merchandise may result in legal action.
